Prayer for the Canonization of Blessed Frances Schervier

Almighty, Just, and Merciful God

Blessed Frances Schervier spent
her whole life giving back to You
all hte gifts that You had given her.
She cared for the poor and the sick
and radiated Your loving presence
to all that she met.
We beseech You now to glorify
your servant, Frances. Give her the honor of sainthood if this is in accordance with Your will.
We ask this through Jesus, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, forever and ever.   Amen.

Diocese of Brooklyn, September 21, 2008)

Prayer for Healing

Lord Jesus, we thank you for sharing with Blessed Frances Schervier you own ministry of healing the sick and helping the poor.  We are poor, Lord, helpless to do anything without your kind gift and grace.  In our poverty we ask through the prayer of Blessed Frances Schervier the gift of healing for N.

When you walked the earth in your mortal life, Lord, a woman could be healed by touching the hem of your garment with faith.  Your ministry of healing is no less now than it was then, and Blessed Frances' concern for your sick and your poor is as great as ever.  Please hear her prayer and ours and grant us the healing we ask for in faith.  Amen.
Blessed Frances Shcervier,  pray for us.

The Peace Prayer

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace;
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, the faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
And where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master,
Grant that I may not so much seek
To be consoled, as to console;
To be understood, as to understand;
To be loved as to love.

For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen.
